Sometimes, enough is good enough!


Ok- I confess… I’m a person who routinely has more stuff to do than I have time to do it in. You might feel this way, yourself, especially if you’re juggling the dissertation, a partner/spouse, children, a home, work, plans for the future… you get the idea. When you’re balancing so many responsibilities, it’s a good idea to know when you’ve done enough- and to accept this as "good enough". Being motivated and driven as we are, we’re likely to experience episodes of perfectionism- where we work harder and harder, even though the quality of our output is not improved. If you feel that you’re putting out a lot of effort, and not getting proportional rewards in return, it might be time to step back, re-evaluate, and decide that enough is good enough.
