Sometimes, you just have to say when..

During the dissertation process, there are likely to be times where you are exhausted, stressed, and having trouble staying motivated. This is happening to a couple of my clients right now- the demands of their lives have picked up and they are running to keep up…and not feeling that they are doing that great a job of it, anyway. What I suggested to them, and what I suggest to you, is that, sometimes, you just have to say when…meaning you let go of all the expectations and just accept that you’re stressed, exhausted, and maybe feeling better should be the first item on your list of priorities. You will always get more accomplished from a place of feeling good. So if you’ve hit the point where you’ve had to say when, take a few days off, get back in balance, then jump back into the game.
