Don’t resent others for their success.
In the competitive world of academia, it’s almost "normal" to resent others’ for their success. You feel envious or jealous of their achievements and find ways to tear them down. Instead of pulling others down- focus on building yourself up. Envy & resentment are indicators that you want something that you don’t currently have. Instead of complaining that someone else got it, why not create a plan to get something like it- or even better- for yourself? Model what the most successful people do and you will attain success more quickly. If you resent others for their success, you will never be as successful as you want to be- simply because you will likely fear that others will resent YOU. What you focus on, expands. So make sure your object of focus is something you want more of in your life.
